Liked: I had an issue with the booking, but the staff helped me and offered me to stay in a private room without any extra charge. That showed respect for the customer and support. The manager, Mrs Lucas, very lovely lady. Breakfast was great too❤️

Liked: elegant historic building and garden with lovely sunset view down on Bath town.
Disliked: phenomenally noisy. very thin walls in the new building which is an entirely separate annexe. other guests near me were up all night; slamming doors, hitting walls and arguing/sounded like fighting loudly and aggressively. I felt unsafe. very difficult to sleep due to extreme noises. kept knocking on/shouting at and hitting my door also. this unusual behaviour was repeated by the same people in the kitchen and other communal spaces. I appreciate that this was probably an isolated incident. entirely due to the guests staying that night. not at all the responsibility of the hostel but am used to YHAs being calm safe spaces. some hostels even have very visible and proactive security staff. for decades the YHA has been my happy place. I will adjust my expectations.

Liked: The location of the hostel was very good, with a great view. There was an option to order breakfast.
Disliked: The mattress wasn't very comfortable, and the springs creaked when you turned over.
