Very nice stay all in...

Liked: Super comfy bed, brilliant friendly team who made us so welcome and made everything very easy for us. Beautiful meal in the pub for remarkable value . They made our dog very welcome. We will 100% be back to stay. We were told it can be loud with music but in room 11 we could not hear the music and they thoughtfully closed the beer garden at 11pm even though the pub remained open until 2am.
Disliked: We had room 11 at the bottom of a second flight of stairs and there were either guests or team members walking up and down the stairs and being very loud and vocal all night until 2am . This may not be the hotels fault though so it has not effected our review score. If this was the hotel staff, they may need to be mindful of there disturbing guests at the late hour.

Lovely Place to stay right...

Liked: Upon arrival it was busy but I was advised by two staff members they would be with me ASAP within 5 mins all sorted.I was shown to my room.( my sister followed on later)I knew upon initial booking that a late night DJ was performing from 2200-0200hrs so requested quiet rooms.We had rooms 9 and 10 and tbh could not hear any music at allWe stayed inhouse to eat and found the service not only to be fast but also with a smile and request do we need anything else after each course.Food and drink were good quality and very reasonably priced.If back in the area in the future we would not hesitate to re book.
Disliked: The car park signage for guests needs to be clearer as its a Pay and Display car park (Pay and Display signage is very prominent ) but the signage for guests is on the 5th line down in a much smaller font advising a voucher will be handed to you to display upon checking in.Admittedly the car park to Hotel is only 50m around the corner (so not visible from reception)but as many will be aware Parking attendants swoop in and ticket in the blink of an eye.

Very good

Liked: The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean.Staff very attentive and helpful.
Disliked: Unfortunately it's on a corner of two busy roads so can hear vehicles including lorries passing!

An unexpected overnight stay at...

Liked: It was an unexpected stop over in March due to due to train cancellation to Stansted airport .. Decided to do B&B here.. good standard and the room was good . Nice bath/ shower .. Room spotless
Disliked: As I’m over 6ft tall the bed was quite small . I expected noise as it was pub/ restaurant but it wasn’t too bad for midweek . They even provided ear plugs ha! ha!

A pleasant rural sanctuary

Liked: Location. Atmosphere. Choice of food. Comfortable , clean room. Efficiency of ALL the staff.
Disliked: I did have to ask for the radiator in my room to be put on from the hotel boiler. The TV stopped working… BUT both issues were very speedily remedied.

relaxing

Liked: The room was lovely and clean and equipped with more then expected
Disliked: A handle on the inside of the door to the room as very heavy when trying to open from inside by door lock

The staff were great and...

Liked: The staff were very helpful it made what was a difficult stay much more enjoyable. Bed was comfortable and because we were at the back of the hotel the room was quiet.
Disliked: Our room was quite compact, other members of the party had larger rooms but they we on the street side of the hotel so actually it wasn't an issue.
