The Ye Olde Bell Hotel is a 17th-century coaching inn set in the Nottinghamshire village of Barnby Moor. The hotel has free Wi-Fi the St Ledger Bistro and the 1650 Restaurant. The individually styled rooms mix antique furniture with modern comforts including powers showers and free Wi-Fi. Rooms also have oak beams a flat-screen TV and fluffy duvets and many have period antiques. The hotel has a day spa including an indoor and outdoor vitality pool sauna snow storm walk stone bath herbal laconium salt inhalation room and steam bath. These facilities do have to be booked and prepaid in advance. The St Ledger Bar has Yorkshire ales on tap real fires and racing memorabilia. The bistro serves international cuisine while Restaurant 1650 with its oak-paneled walls has a classic British menu. Guests can relax in the extensive gardens or enjoy a drink in the outdoor terrace bar. There are also facilities for conferences with suites that can cater for up to 250 delegates. The Ye Olde Bell Hotel is has good access to the A1 M1 and M18. Robin Hood Airport is only 11 miles away and Retford Train Station is just a 10-minute drive.

A charming traditional hotel with...

Liked: The breakfast was very good and the service at breakfast was very friendly.Our room was very spacious and we liked the traditional decor.There are lots of areas to sit and have a drink and relax.
Disliked: A few touches in the bedroom - considering how spacious our room was (no. 1) the wardrobe was tiny and could only hold about four items of clothing.Also a few irritating things in the bathroom - towels could only be hung quite a way from the sink, and there was nowhere to put shower gel etc in inside the brank new shower cubicle.

Had a great time. We...

Liked: Breakfast and evening meals were very good. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel was ideally situated for our onward travel to Norfolk. It felt secluded and peaceful, yet was only minutes away from the major roads. We loved our session in the adjacent spa which is one of the nicest I have visited and was the reason for choosing Ye Olde Bell Hotel and Spa for our stopover.
Disliked: Other guests chatting at outdoor tables outside our room at "bedtime".

Liked: Food was great /Also had a treatment at the spa which was lovely.The spa it self could do with being open later for customers staying
Disliked: Room is a little dated

Superb

Liked: I booked a room on the ground floor and was given a room in a single storey building. I could park my car close by. The bathroom had a bath and shower and mybed was comfortable. The seafood and cheese sharing plates were of a high standard. I would recommend this Hotel.
Disliked: No sky television to watch golf.
