Liked: Adrian and Christine were very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The location is great: very quiet and scenic, with an easy walk into town to the castle and a choice of restaurants. We hope to stay again.

The best place to stay...

Liked: This is a wonderful hidden gem for Caerphilly and the hosts are amazing, friendly and very accommodating
Disliked: Maybe tissues in the room

Welcoming luxury.

Liked: Luxurious stay, excellent value for money. Friendly hosts, superb breakfast and lovely room. Everything about our stay was excellent and we would definitely visit again and recommend. If you like old properties, luxury and getting away from formulaic accommodation you will love this place.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Amazing stay for few days at Y Fan! The house is stunning with great location, and the rooms are modern and clean. The hosts Adrian and Christine were fantastic and made our stay really enjoyable, and the homemade breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend this place for a trip in South Wales, really perfect to explore the region and relax.

Worth going just to stay...

Liked: The full Welsh breakfast is amazing. You will not need 2 of those sausages. Great yoghurt granola with fresh fruit. Overall a wow factor being in such an historic building and the bedroom (on the top floor) was beautiful and romantic.
Disliked: Not much to fault here, the access roadway makes you think you've made a navigational error. Ideally they would offer a basic evening meal. Just Spaghetti Bolognese or Chilli con Carne, as the restaurants are a 20 minute walk.

Liked: I booked this via my wife's account (this is Dale). A very attractive venue clearly designed to a high standard. Attentive host and receptive to requirements. Breakfast was fresh and served to order. Love the decoration and feel of the place.
Disliked: I didn't read the instructions about asking for the room to be serviced, as it will not be done automatically each day.

Liked: What a wonderful place. Exquisite building and grounds, with a breakfast I am still daydreaming about! Not to mention the comfiest bed and gorgeous shower. Christine and Adrian were superb hosts, nothing was too much to ask. I’d return in a heartbeat when in the area again.

Short but sweet

Liked: It was only a short stay, we arrived at around 10pm and left at 8:30am the following morning due to having a course to attend, the staff understood we had been on the road for a long time, quickly showed us round and went through breakfast options and left us to it. The place is beautiful and breakfast was great.
