Well-located, fashionable accommodations yet lacking...

Liked: The Wythe boasts an optimal location, situated in Brooklyn?s fashionable Greenpoint neighborhood. It?s restaurant Le Crocodile - though open only for room service during the pandemic - is a favorite among travelers and locals alike. The food was delivered promptly and well presented, although my partner?s entree (gnocchi w/ chanterelles) was on the tepid side when it arrived, and most certainly beat eating hunched over take-out containers. Each room is equipped with a small table for in-room dining, which we appreciated very much. Also, on-street parking was also readily available, so we avoided paying for a garage. (Around the corner is an exceptional bakery, called Bakeri, I would definitely recommend!)
Disliked: The bedding was a bit shabby. More specifically, there were no down pillows, so bring your own if you?re not accustomed to sleeping on down-alternative! Also, the tiles on the bathroom floor were noticeably spotted; I was very glad to have packed slippers. (None were offered with the room.) We stayed in a King Room just across from the elevator (room 212) that featured a small patio just outside the room. While the room was quite large and attractively appointed, it was located in what turned out to be a wind shaft. The exchange of air between the front door and the terrace caused the door to bang slightly throughout the night. It?s true that the winds were high the night we stayed there, but the position of the room definitely factored into our sleepless night. I would return only if I was guaranteed a quieter room. Other than that, the staff was helpful and gracious - no complaints whatsoever in that regard.

Staycation in Bklyn

Liked: The location is perfect. The room was very large. The view was really special.
Disliked: There were very few amenities although, I understand because of Covid. I feel like the hotel could have a little bit more of a luxe touch for the price. The products in the bathroom seemed watered down. There are no plugs next to the beds. The bed creeks all night even if you just move the slightest. Bare bones....

Exceptional

Liked: We had a fabulous stay for my husbands birthday weekend. The room was exceptionally clean and bed super comfortable. Room service was quick and we enjoyed dinner at their restaurant Le Crocodile. Loved how we were in the heart of a great part of the neighborhood and just steps away from restaurants and coffee shops. Also felt very covid safe because everyone was required to wear masks.
