Liked: The staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. It felt like a very high quality and professionally run hotel, although a little old fashioned , but that too had it’s charm. The bathroom was impeccably clean and comfortable, so was the rest of our room. Breakfast was very classy, with good service and portions. We ended up having lunch in the hotel, which was affordable and tasty. We had lamb from the carvery with loads of vegetables, stuffing and roasted potatoes.
Disliked: If I have to name one thing, it would be that the mattress was a little too hard.
