Service/reception seemed chaotic and inconsistent.Convenient...

Liked: Our room had obviously been refurbished which was pleasing - good shower room, spacious. Bed very hard - would benefit from mattress topper.
Disliked: Breakfast was really disappointing - until we discovered that we could order eggs to be cooked to order, which made it marginally better. Coffee was dire.

Our second stay . Location...

Liked: Breakfast was lovely. Service excellent. Large spacious rooms and lovely terrace. Quirky hotel with great history
Disliked: The mattress on our bed wasn't the best, but our friends loved theirs. Overall , I'd recommend the hotel. The pool area is smallish but it's adequate for a quick dip

Liked: The bread selection was poor and some food selections had gone by 9am
Disliked: More attentive staffRoom not cleaned one day despite having left hanger on the door

A perfect stay and very...

Liked: it was all perfect.... staff were simply lovely.. and its a beautiful beautiful place and setting. A great price and everything was clean and tidy. Service in the Hotel was top notch, no waiting around and very courteous.
Disliked: Think the lodges could do with a small dishwaser, but that is all
