Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter

Overpriced and outdated.

Liked: Staff was very pleasure.
Disliked: The bathtub did not have a working stopper. Remodel needed.

Disliked: I would not recommend styaing here again! This hotel are thieves. I stayed here with my friend and neither of us have or ever will smoke. Upon checkout, I noticed a charge on my card for a 'smoking fee'. I did not query it at the time as the receipt suggested this had been credited back to my account. I am used to hotels taking holding fees on my credit card so didn't think too much of it until a few days later when it had not been credited to my account. I messaged the hotel and asked when I should expect this back, they told me that i had been smoking in the room and so I had to take it up with my bank to get it back. This is unacceptable, they did not point out that I had been charged this upon checkout, which would have been easy as I asked them if i had been charged for parking. Then they were incredibly unhelpful and rude when I asked for my money back. It should not be on me to ring my bank to get this money back when there was no proof and no justification for taking the money in the first place. I have a zero tolerance policy for smoking due to family history of cancer due to smoking and so this was a kick in the face when they told me this. I have attached a copy of my conversation and the receipt to this review to showcase how unhelpful and unethical this hotel are.Irrespective of that, the hotel is dated and in need of an upgrade. The air conditioning in the room is loud, it turns on and off in the night and would wake us up due to how loud it was. On the morning we checked out, we had 2 dead cockroaches in our room. Our room was on the 10th floor suggesting that the hotel has a real infestation of these and I am concerned as to what smells and chemicals are used in the room to find 2 of them dead!

It was an alright stay...

Liked: Nothing in particular it was ok.
Disliked: The supervisor of the valet was not friendly at all. He had an attitude the whole stay. I did not like the hidden fees of the parking as well. Fees were terrible.
