Wyndham Garden Wichita Downtown

Bad. Very bad.

Liked: The room was clean.
Disliked: Was assigned an occupied room. The A/C leaked soaking the the carpeting in the AM. Room missing a wash cloth. The hotel offered a "hot breakfast." At 07:00, there were sausage patties. Cereal but no milk. Bagels but no cream cheese. No tea. Only one working ice machine (4th floor) and the signs on the out of service ones were no help.

You can tell it was an older motel because of the musty smell. But it was OK for the price.

Liked: The price.
Disliked: The cubicle room that we had. The room next to us - the door was right next to ours. You could hear everything from the next room.

The staff was wonderful. Very, very pleased with everything.

Liked: Not much, rooms were clean upon arrival, comfortable
Disliked: upon arrival there were about 20-30 people waiting to check in, there was only one employee helping. All staff spoke very poor or no English. Website stated that there was a pool, hot tub, bar, and restaurant and we were informed at check in that they were all permanently closed and had been for months. We only booked this hotel for those specific amenities. We had 20 people total in our party and were unable to switch hotels. Our room was never cleaned once in our 4 day trip. There were numerous trash bags and litter around doorways and trash cans outside. There were cigarette butts filling all flower pots outside. There was vomit outside the rear door that was there for 4 days. Numerous homeless people loitering on property. Womans bathroom in lobby was boarded up and men's bathroom turned into just "bathroom" for all to use with a paper sign. Unable to access the lobby floor from side stairwell. Numerous lewd comments written on walls and doors in the stairwell. Water leak marks in main bathroom ceiling. Very poor representation of a Wyndham property.

Liked: It was within walking distance to our venue
Disliked: Our toilet was broken. They said they'd send someone to fix it. Never did. There was a comb left in the bathroom and hair in the sink. The furniture was well used.
