Julia, Dayton, visiting Radius Chicago Tue, 8 March 2022

You get what you pay for and this hotel was much less expensive than many others in downtown Chicago and had a parking lot with parking included. But the room had old nasty carpet and the walls were dinged up and peeling in places. The hairdryer nor exhaust fan nor vending machine worked. The room had a weird stale odor. Customer service was really good though. It wasn't terribly inconvenient to downtown and bed and pillows were comfortable!

Liked: Customer Service. Comfortable beds.
Disliked: Outdated. Room had an odor.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Chicago South Loop. This was my 3rd time staying there and I will stay there again. I even passed up staying at our host hotel.

Liked: Free parking; location; clean and friendly staff.
Disliked: Not enough parking - if you come back late you have to park on the street.

Great place to stay; very convenient location. If you're not interested in staying in the heart of the city, but want to be in a convenient location, this is a great option at a great price.

Liked: Convenient to highway; great parking; large, clean room; beds were comfortable.
Disliked: TV was satellite and since it stormed our entire stay, interrupted TV service.

Liked: Nice showers, comfy beds, surprisingly quiet considering the number of rooms it has
Disliked: Hotel is out of date, some of the elevators were broken so it was a long walk to the room

Great location to the downtown...

Liked: This location didn't have a restaurant, so you had to order out but the front brought it to you.
Disliked: No restaurants in the hotel, no security in the hotel, the second door to enter the hotel didn't have a lock on it. I didn't notice that until I was checking out.

10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Liked: There was honestly nothing I liked about the hotel. It was terrible.
Disliked: It is in a bad area, when we checked in someone told us how their catalytic converter was just stolen off their car the night before in the parking lot. When we got to the room… it was terrible. The carpet was stained up, the tv was probably as old as the mattress, which was pretty darn old. The head board was taped together in one spot and the bottom of it was broken and pealing apart. The room gross. The edges of the carpet and wall were coated in dust and hair and some random garbage. The bathroom had no vent fan, and the ceiling looked like there may be a leak in the pipes above. Breakfast was a joke. It was supposed to be ready at 6, we got there at 7:10 ish and it still wasn’t set up or cooked yet. The attendant was randomly talking to everyone about how he was tired and got not sleep the night before. We waited 10 mins and still nothing, and I was uncomfortable with his random talking about random things, so we decided to just go get breakfast out. We did not complain at the hotel because I already paid for the hotel through this site and I didn’t have extra money to try to find another and pay for it while I’m 5 hours from home on a trip on a budget. I was afraid I would have no where to go and no money and then wouldn’t get home so we just sucked it up, we stayed gone all day and were only there to sleep at night until it was time to check out.
