The hotel was beautiful but...

Liked: The location was great! The dog area was wonderful, and the grounds were beautiful for walks.
Disliked: My receipt from booking.com said there were some kind of meals included, but nothing was offered or discussed at the hotel.

Liked: Room was ready after 5:30 I have been told to wait in the lobby and I will get a text when room is ready. After 1 hour of waiting went back to reception to check and room was ready but nobody texted me to let us know. In the morning they told me that I have to give the room by 11:00 am. After I gave the room I mention that is not fair to give it back so early when room was ready so late. The male receptionist was extremely rude and arguing that I needed to ask for late check out., Any hotel that I went was the policy to explain to the customer everything and specialy to let them know in case room is given to late that they can check out late. When I ask in the morning he said 11:00 without mentioning that a late check out without extra charge could be available.
Disliked: Just explained above the male receptionist rude and arogant.

Disliked: Check-in was supposed to be 3pm but we had to wait about 1.5 hours more as the room was not ready. They were supposed to call me when it is ready but didn’t give me a call. I had to check back a couple times and they finally said “oh your room is ready.” Staff could be kinder. Wish they provided slippers considering its hard wood floor gets quickly messy from snow/mud footprints.

Disliked: We booked a suite and were given a regular room. Then late at night received a call asking when did we expect to arrive at the hotel. Another family from our party got the same mixup. The room was cold throughout with maximum temperature about 70 even though we raised the thermostat all the way to 83.
