Hotel shut!!!

Disliked: Hotel has closed down. Couldn't get hold of anyone. I messaged booking.com several times and still haven't had a response!!!How do I get a refund. Disgraceful non existent customer service!!!

Disappointed

Liked: The building was lovely
Disliked: No heating in the rooms. The bar area was awful no where to sit and one person behind the bar. Though someone was going to help out but he just walked off. People staying there was very rude. We went out as we didn't want to stay there.

Disliked: The place was empty, and the rooms were dirty. We found dirty coke bottles under the bed, no towels, and no bedding provided for the pull-out bed just a dirty sheet.The food was disappointing, and there was no bottled water available. When I raised these concerns, the woman I spoke to was extremely rude.On a positive note, the waiter was very polite and kind.We had booked for two nights but decided to leave early as we didn’t enjoy our stay. We felt we were reasonable in requesting a partial refund due to the poor conditions. They initially agreed in person, but now they are ignoring us and not responding.I wouldn’t recommend staying here.I wouldn’t have left this feedback if they come back to us about the refund or had dialogue left no option.

A beautiful stay

Liked: We had a very comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere.Beautiful grounds and friendly staff.
Disliked: The toilet was a little nosey as made a sound often even when not in use.

Lovely winter weekend

Liked: Food was superb. Excellent value for money. Beautiful place and location. Issues with heating throughout hotel which they were aware of and apologised for. First room we were allocated had not been prepared but staff soon moved us to another. Would definitely return.
Disliked: Heating issue across the whole hotel - some guests were offered a plug in heater - we were but it never came. First room we were allocated had not been prepared by housekeeping so we had to go back downstairs and were allocated another however we aren't upset by small things like that. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Nice room and location
Disliked: It was -4 through the not and No heating in room it was broken, so we had a couple of heaters that didn’t heat the room up as was quite a large room, so was freezing could see the vapour coming out our mouth when we was breathing 🥶

Freezing rooms

Liked: The location is nice, but that is the only nice thing about staying at this hotel.
Disliked: We arrived at 3 pm when check-in was supposed to be. Bad luck...the rooms were not ready until 4 pm. The entire hotel was freezing, from the reception to the bar area and the rooms. We booked this hotel just to have a place to sleep after a party nearby. After checking in, we informed the reception that the room was very cold and that we were concerned it would remain so when we returned from the party. Exactly that happened...we waited until 4 am—yes, 4 am—in that freezing room for the heating to be fixed, and they finally gave us another room for the remaining 3-4 hours of sleep. It was a disaster. Don't choose this hotel in cold weather. Maybe it's nice in summer, but definitely not in winter.
