Lovely stay

Liked: Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. I will be returning
Disliked: Unfortunately the spa can only be accessed from outside the building for wheelchair users

Dissapointing

Liked: Comfy bed
Disliked: Very noisy! Thin ceilings so could hear people walking around in the room above. Poor doors with gaps underneath, so very poor sound blocking qualities. Other guests were very noisy in the corridor. Therefore, good sleep was hard to come by.In room coffee facilities also poor.Hotel looked tired.

Disappointing

Liked: Nice facilities but the sink needs to be worked on. There was this stench in the bathroom too.There are some stains and dirt on the carpet too. Receptionist and some of the workers were not welcoming.my rating would be 4 out of 10

Not as good as previous...

Liked: Staff front of house and bar very friendly
Disliked: No air con or fan for room and no temp gauge thermostat. One window hinge snapped, a little dated in the room. Toilet paper not the best quality

Pretty bad.

Disliked: Noise from bedroom above continued all night hence no sleep. No soundproof between rooms and floors. Reception informed during the night and again on checkout. Will not stay there again.

My first choice for this...

Liked: The room was very spacious, although the shower itself was quite small. A nice view looking into the garden and the hotel is ideally situated in a leafy Lancashire lane. Although I did not try the gym and spa, while previously living in the area for many years, I was a member for about twenty years and know that it is a high quality and the swimming pool is just lovely. My first return to the area for five years and this hotel was my first choice.
Disliked: Nothing really. If I was picky I would say that the TV and some of the utilities in the room are a little dated but, compared to the value, this was more than acceptable. The shower is small so a large person might struggle, but the bathroom itself is a reasonable size. Note the whole room was a good size.

Liked: A hotel is an hotel pretty much. It was clean, efficient and absolutely fit for purpose with nice garden and communal spaces. The food was absolutely fine. The exceptional part of our stay was the staff. They were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, they were pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good time. And we did! Result!!Oh - and it was the best gym we've ever had in an hotel.
Disliked: Breakfast - just snazz it up a bit.
