Liked: What an amazing time we had at this beautiful house xx

Great location- poor service

Liked: Location was amazing well of the beaten track beautiful scenery all the way around.
Disliked: Went for a meal in the restaurant and staff started collapsing tables and setting up for breakfast at 7pm. We had to leave through the meal. We did get apology. At 8pm. We went to sit in the bar as outside was getting cold to be told it was closed and there wasn’t anyway else to sit and chat. Staff suggested we go back to our room and sit down. There wasn’t anyway else a wedding on in the other room so we had no option but to go back to our room at 8pm

Stopped 5/6 times, always been...

Noisy and old fashioned rooms.

Liked: The grounds were beautiful, lovely views and gardens well kept. Room was clean.
Disliked: When you book they say there may be a wedding on. What they didn’t say was that our room would be situated directly above the wedding disco. Music went on until after midnight. Rooms were very old fashioned, toiletries very basic. It was a hot day and no fan in the room and windows painted shut so could only open a small amount. View from bedroom window was bins and smoking area from wedding guests. Totally understand this is a wedding venue but more care should be taken to locate non-wedding guests in an appropriate room that won’t experience such noise. Both my husband and I got hardly any sleep and it was a very uncomfortable stay.

Disliked: No air con or fans in the bedrooms to use on very hot day/night

Once our rooms were upgraded...

Liked: Food was excellent.
Disliked: The rooms we were allocated were awful. Very basic and overlooking a wall. There was no sitting room.

Mark at worthy hall

Liked: Hotel is quite spectacular and could be so much more. Excellent grounds , the food was very good,breakfast had two options hot or cold in two different rooms very strange set up, but the staff were very accommodating. I would go back but would upgrade to a better room.
Disliked: Lovely location and a spectacular building, as you would expect it has a country house feel. But you don't expect it to be tired. Tables and chairs in the bar area are just well used. Carpets in various areas, my room (a single) was just tired all round, nothing drastic, but I've stayed I'm much better for similar money. It was clean and relatively comfy. I stayed in room nine, very small and above a beer garden, which was extremely noisy due to a busy wedding it did stop around midnight. I presume this is the hotels main income. Room was also very warm could do with a fan or air con. (Mid summer stay).

Classy, pretty, peaceful.

Liked: Beautiful. Has been spruced a little since we were there before. A wedding reception was in the ballroom, but we had no idea until we searched out of curiosity. Big place, brilliant views and garden. Will be back.
Disliked: A certain purple hotel chain has slightly softer beds. Could do with Windows that open further and or at the top. Real windows open at the bottom, though, which is good.
