Disliked: Sometimes difficult to find a member of staff - but they were very friendly and helpful when we found them :)

Exceptional

A charming hall, with lovely...

Liked: There was a hamper in lieu of breakfast, and I hadn't realised that breakfast was not available on a Monday. I was a little disappointed, but didn't think that was a deal breaker. I was a little underwhelmed with the room, I have never been a fan of 4 poster beds and didn't really have a good night's sleep. The bonus for me was that Chad, who was there as we checked out, showed me rooms that would have been altogether more suitable . . . .I think the rooms Victoria and Elizabeth had views over the cedar lawns . . .so much more my thing, and better bathroom facilities!
Disliked: The bed was not great, it felt quite claustrophobic. The bathroom was disappointing, particularly a very small shower . . . . I did mention when we arrived that I was keen to know what time breakfast was . . .and only learned then that it wasn't available. Next time I would appreciate a better room and maybe if I book directly this would be an option!

Liked: Beautiful setting
Disliked: No staff on check in or check out. Had to go and find someone from the restaurant. No breakfast included or advised of having as an extra. Music playing until 11pm and started again at 7.30am.

Liked: Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy a sit down breaky....we had a mini hamper. The noise transfer above room Louis kept me awake until the early hours, then to woken by Road traffic on a busy A road....facilities and room outstanding.

Liked: Beautiful property with amazing grounds. The room was very nice with comfortable bed and seating. Food is homemade and cooked to order. Attention from the staff was perfect. An amazing stay .
Disliked: No complaints at all

Exceptional

More than just a country...

Liked: More than just a country house hotel. Staying in 'Henry' was a great surprise, though I think it might be a bit cosy for two, was perfect for one. The staff were exceptional and extremely accommodating. Would love to come back to stay for pleasure rather than business, if only to check out the cocktail bar!! Food was outstanding too and Michael (co-owner) was very welcoming to a solo traveller and very informative about the hotel and its history.
