Exceptional

Very nice condo units at...

Liked: The 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit was perfect for our group of 4 friends. The pool and jacuzzi are very nice and the complex is walking distance to the village shops, restaurants and bakeries.
Disliked: WI-FI was not free. it required a daily fee to access.

Good price for a two...

Liked: Beautiful views and not a bad price for a two bedroom condo, definitely a good deal especially if you’re traveling as a family or with a group.
Disliked: There was no conditioner provided in the bathroom. I wasn’t a fan of the fact that WiFi costs extra, and at one point during our stay we went to the front desk to ask about dvd rentals and we were told that it was only for owners, as this place is a timeshare facility. I paid to stay here just like anyone else does, so I don’t see why we couldn’t rent a dvd.

Disliked: The morning we were supposed to leave, the hotel called and said our reservation was canceled due to a maintenance issue. They didn't give a definitive answer, but we were disappointed to say that least.

Liked: The apartment was really nice. The game room and DVD rentals were awesome.The only disappointment was the pool was not open. :(

Overall good stay

Liked: There was no breakfast included so I cannot comment on that question. Location was a little off the Solvang strip but it was still walkable, although we did not because I had a walker-dependent family member with me. It may have helped with the quiet at night not being at the center of downtown Solvang. I like that we were able to wash our clothes and laundry soap was complimentary, among other things. Manager Stephen was quick to address the two issues we did not like.
Disliked: 1. The general amenities section read upper floors are accessible by elevators. My walker-dependent, 80-year old mother and I were assigned a second floor unit with no elevators.2. Ready to retire for the day I removed the cover of my bedsheets and a black spider came crawling out!We were reassigned to another unit the next day. It was on the third floor of a building with no elevator and we had to take an elevator from another building and walk across a bridge to get there.

Liked: A little off the Solvang strip, still walkable, helped afford quiet nights not being at the center of downtown. Washer/dryer in unit with complimentary laundry soap. Ample parking. Local lobby coffee. Manager Stephen was quick to address 2 issues we had.
Disliked: My walker-dependent, 80y/o mom & I were given a 2F unit w/o elevator. A black spider crawled out of my bed! Resolution: we were reassigned a 3F unit where we had to take the elevator of a different building and walk across a bridge.
