Lovely friendly guesthouse in good...

Liked: The guesthouse owner, Janet, was very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable, the location in central Ambleside was great and we had a very good breakfast. There were some nice touches, like home-made cakes and a lovely garden to sit in. We'd certainly try to stay here again if looking for accommodation in Ambleside.

Liked: The house/room was beautiful and in the perfect location for some great walks/Lake Windermere and restaurants and bars. The breakfast and Janet’s cakes were delicious.

Liked: Very nice guest house with incredibly welcoming hosts. The room was very comfy and very tastefully decoated. It included a fridge with free water as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrom included toiletries and even face towels. In the downstairs breakfast room the hosts provide drinks, freshly baked cakes and even wine for their guests. You can tell that they put a lot of thought and love into their guest house. We cannot recommend it enough!
Disliked: Almost not worth mentioning, but signage to the parking would be nice.
