Excellent hotel with good staff and well situated for the town centre. Pity about the hot water. You don't expect that these days.

Liked: Our room was very nice. Clean and spacious. Nice bathroom, with bath and shower. The reception was very polite and helpful and the bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch.
Disliked: Very disappointed that there was no hot water in the morning. To not be able to shower or wash properly was really not very good. We were told initially that it was because the hotel was full?!

Excellent location. Very clean and breakfast was good. Excellent value for money.

Disliked: Toilets splattered with sephia plumage. I belive this hotel may be frequented by homosexual sex workers.Our neighbor's sounded like they were wrestling until the small hours with a soundtrack of hard house and Adele on full volume. I was awoken by a strange looking man at around 11pm who wasn't quite sure what planet he was on, I politely informed him he was at the wrong door.The sheets had a few cigarette burns on, which was a little uninspirational. I rang reception with regards to the noise from our neighbor's and the very professional man on reception was very helpful. All in all the experience was mediocre at best and we didnt stay the second night we had booked.

Liked: Great location for the Piece Hall and the free parking was a bonus. Our room was lovely and clean and comfortable and the bathroom was massive! The staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and replenished constantly.
Disliked: It didn’t seem like enough staff were on duty. When we arrived there was one staff member checking people in, fetching irons, running the bar, answering the phone, the poor guy was rushed off his feet. When we returned to the hotel in the evening there was no-one on reception at all and a fellow guest who had locked themselves out of their room couldn’t contact anyone on the ‘out of hours’ number. That said a business that offers a value hotel has to find the cost savings somewhere I guess.
