Great place for kids and adults.

Liked: Good food; pleasant staff who keep restaurant clean.
Disliked: Would have liked a shower - bath was hard to climb into.

Liked: Staff exceptionally cheerful and helpful; Good extensive parking at this time of the year; very attractive location as long as you are not put off by all the Wookey Hole caves razzmatazz right next to the hotel. no problem with noise - just the visuals. Also you need to be prepared to drive along narrow roads for access
Disliked: Restaurant very convenient: staff there helpful and pleasant. Menu could be more varied and flexible. Very little provision for anyone with a dairy intolerance or for vegans. Also watch out for being buried in chips

Pleasant

Liked: Lovely location and beautiful views from the front. Staff friendly and lovely large room for a family of 4.
Disliked: Some things in room really need updating as don't look clean especially items in the bathroom. Dinner service was so bad that we left first thing and didn't book breakfast.

Disliked: We didn’t like the hotel. Dinner was good but breakfast was not good. I had an eggs Benedict and it was not cooked, sent it back and they must of put the plate into the microwave to cook it as it has not moved since I gave the plate back and the plate was hot!I would not stay at this hotel again for the price.

Better than we expected, staff...

Liked: All staff were amazing, they were all very friendly and had time for you, room was comfortable and food was great. The hotel was a great surprise as wasn’t expecting much but was very impressed. Would stay again for sure.

Very good value for money

Liked: Very nice, helpful staff. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast choice and lovely quiet location. Free parking. Good sleep. Lovely walks straight from the door. Free upgrade to a bigger room as I had booked a twin room and decided on a double room. Cheerful staff.
Disliked: Bedroom was dated and waiting for an upgrade. Shower not the best.

Liked: Location & friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Property tired, needs a revamp. Would have been nice to have a lounge area in the bar rather than the restaurant, but difficult to see how you could accommodate this in view of the limited space.
