WoodSpring at Fort Sam isn't...

Liked: It was on Priceline. It was in San Antonio. It was somewhat close to the area I wanted to be in.
Disliked: Everything could have been better. I was VERY disappointed. The hotel was misrepresented in the photos I saw on Priceline. It was dirty. The room was dirty. It took forever to GET a room. When I complained that the room was by 2 lobby doors that slammed every time they closed and that the hall smelled of marijuana, I was reluctantly moved to another room which was even worse. It didn't just smell, it stank of mold. This second room was even more run down than the first room. I left. I didn't even stay one night. Once I found new accommodations, I came back to get my money back. The manager complained that I didn't allow him to help me and REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND. When I once again told him the issues I had with the hotel, he said, "You know this is an extended stay hotel, right?" I've stayed at extended stay hotels. This was more like a rundown apartment complex in a bad part of town that the landlord doesn't keep up BECAUSE its in a bad part of town. Tenants were hanging around the doors in groups with their dogs, smoking, cursing, and horsing around. And the staff were behind locked doors and glass. I did NOT feel safe here. Not at all.

Liked: Room was clean on arrival. Lots of restaurants nearby. Full-sized fridge and small stove in room.
Disliked: Staff is lazy, rude, and unprofessional. Services basically non-existent. Lots of sketchy-looking people loitering in immediate vicinity. No cooking or eating equipment in room, despite full kitchens being advertised. Housekeeping only services vacant rooms. One of the dresser drawers' front was entirely detached.

Liked: I do not recommend this Hotel to anyone at all! There are many Homeless people who prowl the hotel day and night and try to get into the hotel to try to assault or rob the guests. They tried to follow me and my wife to the room once we entered the hotel to rest. Again, I tell you. To anyone who tries to rent the Hotel, I do not recommend it!! The Hotel shown in the photos is pure Lies, it is super dirty and disgusting.

Disliked: I try to sometimes stay in these low cost to stay in budget but when you get poor service and makes see why I j book the really nice clean high rates hotels. One of the biggest issues I had was not being able to have access to fresh clean towels until the office opened up at 9. Regardless of it being an extended stay not every person that walks through those doors are temporary moving in. Some guest have to leave early or be somewhere early, and to be asked well didn’t yall get towels is besides the point. We wanted clean towels because we used the ones we had the night before. Idk I just know haven’t experienced that before, and it doesn’t help when management talks to you as if you should have known. The door to our bathroom couldn’t close because it was broken, the air conditioning unit wouldn’t get warm, no type of breakfast, people above us were extremely loud and you could hear every movement like they were moving a lot of furniture. I’m sorry I just was not happy, we checked out that morning and went over to Comfort Suites and it was amazing!!!
