Liked: Beautiful setting, gorgeous period hotel, amazing super friendly, polite, helpful and attentive staff. Food was excellent and good value. Bed was huge and super comfy.
Disliked: Tiny bit shabby in places but that can be a bonus in that you can relax - it's not overly pretentious. Didn't like the way service was added individually onto everything on the bill, it was very confusing. Was however, quite happy to pay an additional charge/tip as the service was so deserving.

Liked: Atmospheric, clean and comfortable
Disliked: Had to wait a while for someone to come and take a drinks order one time at least 20 minutes the had to ask several times before anyone came.

Staying in the hotel was...
Liked: The hotel was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with plenty of hanging space and tea/coffee making facilities. The room service was prompt and the food we ordered delicious and just what we needed. It was a real treat staying in the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The choice for breakfast was varied and extensive and we both chose something which we would not eat at home and it was beautifully cooked and presented.
The only suggestion I have is that the bathroom, which had some paint peeling, could do with a bit of attention, but that's a minor quibble and didn't spoil our stay at all. We would definitely want to stay again.
Disliked: The bathroom needs a bit of TLC.

Liked: Great location
Disliked: Unfortunately, the rooms on the 2nd floor as I have recently had , 42 and 40 are not up to the standard of rooms on the first floor , a little bit shabby, and hot water not always available . I have been a regular visitor and accept with late booking it may not always be possible to provide the better quality room, I understand that the price reflects your occupancy . So my rating reflects this . I am always greeted by your staff which I appreciate they are very professional , I would hope to be able to have the better rooms on the 1st floor if possible on my future visits

Liked: The room.
Disliked: The bar area was not what we expected as it was modern and this also was the breakfast room. The prices of drinks at the bar were extortionate!
