Pleasant Stay.

Liked: Excellent breakfast in pleasant surroundings overlooking the garden. Stayed at the hotel often and it continues to meet my expectations. Not modern typical New Forest and comfortable.
Disliked: Unfortunately my room had a water pump which is described as a little noisy but was very loud during the night and I had to switch it off.

Disliked: Room 11 gets noise first thing in morning, poss powershower unit from adjacent room?

Disliked: Bed a little softAttention to detail, we can see a lot of investment has already taken place and I suspect given its age, it isn't the easiest to maintain, just a little more attention to decor detail and decor finish would give it a 10 along with a longer service time for food.

Liked: The day staff were very helpful. The place was very cozy. Great location
Disliked: The food was horrible. We only had dinner so can't comment on the breakfast. We both said it was the worst main we ever had. The couple next to us sounded like they had similar complaints. Our shower didn't work. The shower head was broken. Not the best place if you're a light sleeper. You could hear every snore from the rooms around us
