Set in a beautifully preserved Edwardian house, Woodlands Hotel offers a warm, traditional stay just a short stroll from the heart of Spalding. With its charming patio garden, elegant period architecture, and cozy wooden furnishings, this hotel feels like a peaceful retreat after a night of live music. You'll find yourself only a 10-minute walk from the town center, where local venues, shops, and Spalding Rail Station are easily accessible.
Woodlands Hotel is perfectly located for music lovers. Its proximity to Spalding’s main venues and a short walk from the train station means you won’t be scrambling for transport after the show. The peaceful garden and quiet rooms are ideal for winding down post-gig, and with free Wi-Fi and free parking, it's as convenient as it is relaxing. Check-in starts at 14:00—plenty of time to settle in before a night out—and checkout isn’t until 11:00, so you can sleep in after an epic encore.
Start your day—or recover from the night before—with a full English breakfast served in a traditional dining area. While there isn’t an on-site restaurant open late, the hotel’s central location means you’re within walking distance of Spalding’s local pubs and restaurants. Tea and coffee facilities in every room make it easy to enjoy a late-night cuppa.
While Woodlands Hotel itself is more about tranquility than tunes, it’s just a short walk to Spalding’s pubs and venues that often host live performances. If you’re up for a post-show drink, there are several local bars nearby offering everything from craft beers to classic cocktails. Then retreat back to your quiet room for a restful night.
Guests consistently mention the hotel’s friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent location for exploring Spalding. The charming period features and peaceful garden are big hits, especially for those looking to unwind after a night out. Many reviewers appreciate the ample free parking and value for money.
Some guests note that the decor could use a refresh in places, and that the hotel doesn’t have evening dining options or a bar on-site. But if you’re spending your nights out at concerts and just need a reliable, quiet place to sleep, these are easy to overlook.
Woodlands Hotel is a classic and convenient choice for concert-goers who want a peaceful place to stay within easy reach of Spalding’s music venues.

As stated above.
Liked: Breakfast was well presented and cooked , good choice. Staff were excellent, could not have been more helpful. Free taxi service to local restaurant for evening meal, splendid.
Disliked: We were expecting an evening meal at the hotel, it was listed in the brochure in the bedroom. So a bit disappointed , after a long journey and emotional visit to relatives, to find that we had to go out to eat. However the manager was extremely helpful.
