Woodland Cottages

Liked: The cottage was clean and a short walk to the beach.Parking was close, and the grounds were maintained shared fire pit.
Disliked: The cottage wasn't prepared for our visit. BBQ was dirty, with no utensils. We had to ask for knives, soap, toaster was broken, hot water wasn't turned on. When the owners came, they were very kind and got us what we needed.

The stay was lovely.

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Toiletries were supposed to be provided, but there were none. Upon arrival there was no toaster or kettle, but when requested, they were brought in from another cottage.

Liked: The location is very nice
Disliked: No one was there when we went to check in. So we picked cottage #2 which we had last summer but it smelt like vomit inside. So we picked another 2 bedroom cottage which was fine but caretaker approached us a couple hours later and made us feel bad/awkward having moved into another cottage. AThe next day another group of people arrived at Woodlands and demanded we move our car. I did so to avoid an argument. Again no management around. These people were extremely noisy up until midnight. So our stay this year was far less enjoyable then previous summer :(

It’s a wonderful place to...

Liked: We loved the property, our little cabin and the amenities. We love that there was a bbq and full kitchen. There was also ice in the freezer which was great and an amazing full size fridge !! We did wish there were a few more utensils and cook ware in the kitchen but we managed just fine! The bed was very uncomfortable but the couch was super comfortable. The staff was the absolute best. It is very kid friendly which is amazing to see as parents. The beaches are all extremely close which is great whether you walk to the rocky beach or drive a couple minutes to the sandy beaches. There is also a great tiny shop just a few seconds up the street if we needed anything which was great and Walmart / stores very close which was perfect and very much needed for last minute items.
Disliked: The only thing we didn’t like was that the bed was uncomfortable and there was some glass found in the cabin and on the porch of the cabin but we quickly cleaned it, aside from that everything was absolutely amazing.
