Welcome to Woodhouse Mountain Lodge on the Kourawhero Estate your home away from home in a paradise-like setting. Set high above surrounding land privacy is guaranteed with views extending as far as the Hauraki Gulf. Woodhouse Mountain Lodge sits at the top of a valley on a large private estate with a forest. Parts of the estate are designated as areas of 'Outstanding Natural Landscape'. Our private villas are well appointed and set amid luscious gardens planted with exotics and mature natives and our lofty mountain top vista offers space to breathe and unwind whether it is relaxing on the veranda with a refreshing drink or seeking solitude and peace among the grounds. The suites have a wonderful sense of space with lofted ceilings huge windows and uncluttered style. Accommodations is spread across the property ensuring you maximum privacy. At the center of Woodhouse Mountain Lodge is the main lodge which offers 3 dining areas and a comfortable guest lounge cozy library and lounge bar. It provides a year-round welcoming atmosphere with 4 large open fires and wide verandas. The lodge also has a Sanarium tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool with sun deck and hot tub. The business center allows you to catch up on work if you need to.

Great long weekend away in...

Liked: Lovely location, very tranquil and private. Lots of space from neighbors and other guests but also close enough to Warkworth / Matakana for things to do.
Disliked: Fairly dated in the room. Bath jets didn’t work, didn’t have room cleaned for second night.

Liked: Loved how secluded it was, felt like a retreat. Facilities were clean, staff were so friendly, loved all the fire places and how cosy it felt. The ease of having payments charged to the villa rather than paying each time you order something just made the experience even better. We will definitely be back, loved every minute!
