A stay that didn't happen....

Disliked: All I wanted was a good nights sleep after several hours of travel that day and also not feeling very well. I had a late check-in as I had to travel a long way. After checking in and receiving my door key, I went to my room. Upon opening the door, I knew I was in hell! The room did not appear clean and the AC was not performing it's duty. I thought to myself, all I really need is a comfortable, clean bed and clean bathroom. The bathroom was not inviting at all! Very scary looking actually! There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, but I later found it on the vanity/sink area. That was not the straw that broke the camel's back however, it was the bed! I pulled back the bedspread and saw baby roaches crawling on the pillow! I checked the other bed only to find a dirty pillow without a pillowcase! At this point I'm asking myself what I should do. I contemplated sleeping in the chair, but I knew I'd have to use the linen or spread on the roach infested bed. I determined that the only thing I could do would be to drive all the way home which was two hours away! That day I had already driven about 350 miles and I was dead tired, but I couldn't stay there. I checked out and drove home.Also, I noticed the door safety latch was broken. I would not have felt safe had I stayed.
