The staff were amazing!!

Liked: Great hotel, fab stay. Every single member of staff we came across acknowledged us, including the maintenance staff. This really made us feel welcome. I was walking around in my graduation robe and the staff were so lovely giving congratulations and well wishes. The staff are an amazing asset. Breakfast was lovely and they made me veggie breakfast. My husband said his meat breakfast was lovely. Very very clean and comfortable! Excellent location to see Colchester and lovely walk around Uni of Essex. We are at the restaurant and that was delicious and very filling with great service.

Lovely

Liked: All of it.. I feel like I live in a mansion! Very clean, old-fashioned but posh, the food was excellent! We booked the suite and the room was huge, we even had our living room section, the bathroom was so clean as well. Very near the Uni of Essex, 3 mins walk and I assure you that if you want to really rest your body & mind, this is the place.

Comfortable hotel in pleasant surroundings...

Liked: Room was very comfortable and included a modern bathroom with walk in shower. The Brasserie restaurant was excellent with very good food and a reasonably priced wine list, all served by friendly and welcoming staff.
Disliked: Location is a little odd, with access via the university campus. Our Satnav took us along a road not open to ordinary traffic (open for buses only).
