Winthrop Arms Hotel Restaurant Logan Airport

Would never return. Would discourage...

Liked: Location. Cute neighborhood and town, close to airport.
Disliked: Parking limited, no staff answering front desk phone all evening. Went down and no one at desk which is hostess desk for restaurant. Waited 30 minutes for anyone to help me. Then a bit rude, kind of snarky response. A/C did not work, so room warm. Shower curtain stained pink on bottom 6-12 inches and edges due to mildew. It’s washable but hasn’t been washed. Couch stained and dirty. Looked best up. Towel rack broken. Just one fixture still attached to tile that used to hold one end of towel rod.

Lovely stay at Winthrop Arms...

Liked: Ability to eat and drink downstairs and then stay upstairs. Staff were accomodating to change channels on the tv to our liking.
Disliked: Everything was great.

Liked: Nice old hotel with a "homey" feel . Good restaurant.
Disliked: Rather inconvenient parking situation, parts of the hotel are under construction, noise from outside (AC ?) in some rooms, room rates quite expensive

Nice location, unpleasant hotel experience.

Liked: The location was convenient and safe. Nice restaurants in walking distance.
Disliked: The hotel is not a priority: it’s a restaurant with some rooms on top. The rooms are more air b&b style, full of leftovers from previous guests, stuff that was left by decorators and look untidy. There is no emergency contact whatsoever. The internet is sketchy and only works by one wall in the bedroom. You only have to lie in bed to use internet. The worst is that everyone we had to approach were not helpful and never made an effort to help. Beware of the dodgy parking arrangement. The lot is only for 4 normal size cars. If you are a light sleeper, you will be disturbed by the landing planes. The owners charge $275 a night, which is a day time robbery for a room that is worse than some Super 8s.

Liked: It was a very quaint place. Very clean and staff was very nice.
Disliked: We didn't realize there was no elevator, our fault for not checking it out closer. My husband and I are older & I recently had knee surgery.
