Great staff, great lobby, poor...

Liked: The staff, for the most part, was great. Professional, kind, and responsive. The lobby set up and breakfast area were the best! Comfortable, large, yet well-sectioned off. We asked if it was ok for our group to hang out as our people came in, and got the green light. It was a great space for us to just be together while group members arrived before we headed to dinner. Also, the location of the hotel was convenient to restaurants and fuel, and not too far from our event.
Disliked: We had a group coming and attempted to directly book for our group and to have access to the meeting space. The reservation was declined by management with no call or email detailing an explanation. When attempting to respond via the email address sent, it bounced back. Thank heavens for Booking.com! We booked the rooms for our group and added a couple more for people in our group who were arriving early and late. Upon arrival, we learned the pool was not working and had been out for 7 months, and the free wifi did not work for any of us. This would have made a difference in our booking had there been an auto message or something saying this. The a/c in our room did not work despite being set at 67 degrees, there was hair in the towels for me and many of my group, the toilets had to be lifted up at the top to flush, and the breakfast and coffee were not great. There was also a bare shop (the area to purchase items you may have left at home and small snacks). The desk chairs in some of our rooms, as well as the business center, almost took you to the floor when you sat in them.These things being different would have made our stay awesome. Unfortunately, we likely will not return to this property nor recommend it.

Disliked: Stayed here several times through the years. I love the indoor swimming pool and gym. When I booked it supposedly it was available. When I want to check in after a 700 mile trip I was informed it had been down for several months for renovations. Really wish somebody would have posted on the website that the indoor swimming pool and gym was out of service. It is hard to take a family vacation when the kids have no pool to swim in. Coming all the way from Florida which my kids swim all the time. Asked if I could be compensated for the inconvenience? I was told we did not do that sir.

Liked: Nice breakfast. Staff was super accommodating. Very clean facilities and rooms.
Disliked: We had a water buffalo roomed above us. There was screaming, a massive thud, stomping, and what sounded like furniture being drug around. After being awakened by it, we had to go to the front desk at midnight and ask them to intervene and do welfare check. The noise settled down for a while, but started up again by daylight. Soooo annoying!
