Wingate by Wyndham Shreveport Airport

Terrible.

Liked: Nothing. When we checked into our room I noticed a bad smell. We asked to be moved and were sent to another queen room. There was rust on the shower floor and the door to the bathroom was gone!! When we went to the front desk I was told that it was off because it was a handicap accessible room ! They said they didn’t have another queen room so we were stuck there for the night. I paid $150 for a room that was awful. We have stayed at Wyndham properties all across the country and have never seen a property anything like this one.

Missed out on breakfast due...

Liked: Desk staff were great at checking and checkout
Disliked: At 8:50am when we came down for breakfast we couldn’t get in line because there were a half dozen hotel staff already monopolizing the line, finishing off whatever food remained, so this was disappointing when breakfast was supposed to be served until 9am. We ended up with yogurt, OJ and coffee and watched the staff enjoy eggs and sausage. We were happy to see the staff get breakfast and any leftovers thus not being wasted, but as paying guests were just made to feel like imposters when it was not even time to close the breakfast area. Everything else for our stay was good so this was surprising.

Liked: I didn't stay at the hotel. Upon my arrival for check in there was an additional 50.00 damage deposit. I didn't have that additional money and asked that they cancel. Because it was done thru booking.com I had to call them to cancel.
