Wingate by Wyndham Mount Vernon, Mount Vernon

Not what I expected. Disappointed...

Liked: This was suppose to be a great hotel. When we got there the room was unsanitary so we did not stay. I have reached out to property, booking .com, Wyndham. No one will provide a credit. Very disappointed. Bodily fluid stains on mattress pad, blood on counter top. Not clean.
Disliked: Cleanliness, and lack of follow up as to credit.

Very good

Liked: Close to Walmart. Great parking, excellent staff!
Disliked: The room needed work. It's outdated. Stained carpets, shower curtain rod was falling down, so the curtain kept sliding to the middle of the bar. Refrigerator had water at the bottom from defrosting. Back security door was never locked.

Pleasant

Disliked: At 8am there were no eggs or cereal available.

I would not stay here...

Liked: The hotel is in a good location.
Disliked: The hotel was in disrepair and was not clean. There were substances on the bathroom wall and room floor that wiped up with a wet washcloth. The hall carpet was visibly not vacuumed. The room floor was not cleaned. The bathroom faucet stuck out from the wall and the water hot and cold were reversed. Lightbulbs were missing from one lamp and another flashed on and off if it was turned on.

Staying at this hotel made...

Liked: Staff were SUPERB. Value for the stay was Great as was the location. The rooms were very comfortable and large enough to make our stay so pleasant. We'll stay again!
Disliked: The lobby rug has a section that curled up such that falls were foreseeable. Replacement would decrease fall risk.

Disliked: Poorly maintained- some lamps didn’t work.Tv had to be fixed by front desk. Floors weren’t clean. No casing over bathroom top of door.1/2 closet door broken.

Liked: Each employee we interacted with was very helpful and welcoming, the breakfast was wonderful and the room was very spacious.
Disliked: It seemed like it had been a while since the last deep clean of the room and stairwells, the bathroom toilet needed maintenance done on it.

Liked: I liked that the prices were fair for being so close to the tulip fields and being able to avoid the crazy traffic to get there. The breakfast was HUGE and very well done. There really was something for everyone there. The beds were VERY comfortable. There were a ton of lights in the room and plenty of seating.
Disliked: The carpet in our room was... I'm not sure how else to explain it, but "crunchy" like it had been shampooed, and all the cleaning product was left in the carpet and dried. It was not very comfortable mentally or physically to walk on barefoot. We also had two adults and two children and were only given two towels, I suppose that's minor considering we could ask for more. The TV was a little outdated and there wasn't much to choose from.
