Wingate by Wyndham Canton-Hall of Fame

When I walked into the room, I was shocked at how unclean it seemed. It looked like the carpet hadn't been vaccumed, the tv had bad reception, the faucet in the dining area barely had any pressure. The outside looked neglected with weeds growing everywhere. It seemed very old and outdated and run down. Even though we had a smoker's room, I thought they could have at least tried to spray some air freshener. I was unhappy with the room. The staff however was very polite.

I would stay there again,...

Liked: The breakfast was very good, and a highlight of my stay! A nice selection of options, including scrambled eggs and sausages, as well as a make-it-yourself Belgian Waffle station. The hours that it is open (6 am - 9 am) are ideal!
Disliked: The facility overall is extremely run-down and in need of attention. One of the entrance signs from the road looked like it had been run over, and the canopy over the entranceway shows signs of being run into. The fact that it hasn't been repaired makes it look like no one cares. The double-double room I was in is a shadow of the former glory it must have had when it was new. The HVAC unit made loud noises when it was running, the pocket doors that separate the sleeping area from the lounge were non-functioning, and the styling is beyond dated. Any one of these maladies would have been acceptable, but collectively, they are an indication of serious underlying operational issues.

Disliked: The pool was dirty the pool too Was hot the pump wasn’t working on the pool the reason we stayed there was for the kids to have fun in the pool. Our room was ok but our neighbors were fighting nice and early dog barking down the hall. Breakfast was so so

The ripped me off and...

Liked: They were absolutely rude they cancelled my reservation bc I checked in in the morning WHICH WAS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE RESERVATION which is why I created the reservation for the night before - to get a few hours of sleep in the morning - would not budge on not letting me check in - hotel was gross anyway sold to Indians that clearly are here just to rip off Americans - there are plenty of hotels in canton and the holiday inn express would be a mega upgrade in comparison .
