It was not worth the...

Liked: Honestly not much to like.
Disliked: Well to start, the AC did not work for the room I was in so I kept waking up sweating, there was cobwebs on all the lamps, the lamp by the bed didn’t even work, after a quick shower the floor would be soaked and found out at check in the pool/fitness area was closed.

Unmemorable

Liked: Relatively easy spot to stop at after a long day on the road. McDonald's is right there across the street. The place seemed to be crowded, but to be honest, I can't remember much about this stay. It was just a bed for the night as we made our way home. Breakfast was decent.
Disliked: There were a lot of electric vehicle charging stations in the parking lot, and only one was being used. It was particularly noticeable since the rest of the parking lot was crammed with vehicles all over the place and not in line. Actually you couldn't see the parking space lines hardly at all, and especially not at night.

Disliked: I paid online when got there wanted credit card for incidentals. Which is fine but walked out of house without card n wouldn't use same card I already paid for room. Afraid we'd destroy room. WELL the room was gross. Carpet badly stained, furniture scratched beat up, hair dryer didn't work, pool shutdown, hot as he'll dining n sitting area w 1 little fan running.our beds were hollow could only feel springs pillows old n need replaced. Outlets on light did t work. Breakfast owner stood w arms crossed watching everyone eating. Is not a pleasant place to stay. We won't go again.

My stay was disappointing.

Liked: The location was great. My son and I were in town for orientation at Ashland University. Our limited interactions with staff were good, although, shortly after arriving to our room, housekeeping walked in, as they had not realized we had arrived. She was extremely apologetic, and it wasn't a big deal. The beds were comfortable, room was nice and cool. You can tell housekeeping is doing their best to keep an otherwise run down hotel clean.
Disliked: The hotel lobby and hallways had no air conditioning. My son and I had looked forward to spending the evening swimming, but I received word the morning of check in that the pool and fitness center were closed for maintenance. It should also be noted that I was informed of this only after I completed the pre-arrival check-in. It was then written on the confirmation emailed to me. Thankfully our room had air conditioning, but the wallpaper was bubbling up and peeling off the walls in many spots. The bathroom looks nice, but if you look closely parts of the granite molding/backsplash are pulling up from the counter. The halls smelled and the laundry room machines were not in service. The breakfast appeared to be mostly pre-packaged food that I honestly didn't trust was fresh. The hotel has a lot of potential and is in a great location if visiting Ashland University. It's in dire need of a complete renovation. Unless they remodel, I don't recommend staying here.
