Windermere Manor Hotel

Disappointing

Liked: Great location of the hotel, very nice staff, decent breakfast choices and good coffee. Clean towels and bedding.
Disliked: In the common areas of the hotel it was clean, however, the room itself wasn't and smelt like damp.Skirting boards were full of dust, there was mould growing in several places in the bathroom, spiders and cobwebs throughout, and the wall paint was coming off. One of the windows had a broken handle and could not be opened. The entrance door to the room had massive gaps around and underneath it, allowing all the light from the hallway to come in.The place would definitely benefit from a thorough deep clean and even refurbishment.

Liked: Friendly staff,food was good, comfortable bed ,nice gardens and plenty of parking
Disliked: 4 day stay and the room was not cleaned once, putting the sign out on 2nd and 3rd day,no coffee milk and sugar replenished. We ended up collecting it ourselves.

Liked: Like the outside and where we were
Disliked: I rang down to book a table no answer left a message for them to call my room and confirm if we could get a booking. Not once but twice. Wasn't done so we went out to eat. When we turned up the receptionist called the chamber maids to see if the room was ready. They were not very helpful to her at all. She was only asking a question and they were very off and as a customer, I heard it all. So it wasn't a good start.
