Perched on a hill overlooking Windermere town center is the Windermere Hotel. Built in 1847 the hotel offers rooms with private bathrooms and a restaurant. Liked: I liked the view from our room window., Carparking was good value compared to some other hotel parking.
Disliked: Our room was chilly even though the radiators were on so had a warm bath. We couldn't open the drawers in our room which had the hairdryer in. Luckily I packed my own hairdryer at the very last minute from home.

Ok stay

Liked: The location was great. Staff were lovely and super helpful. My bathroom was clean, linen and towels all fresh.
Disliked: I found the hotel quick in need of some TLC. For the location, and as part of a luxury brand of hotels, I expected alot more. The hotel looks tired and needs attention. I stayed with my dog and the dog friendly room was ok. The carpeted looked really stained, and I would have made it the same floor as the bathroom, so it's easier to clean. This made it feel dirty. I also found the bed not comfortable at all and seemed cheap and nasty .
