DO NOT RECOMMEND
Liked: It was close to colonial Williamsburg and had a free shuttle to and from.
Disliked: Everything else!!!!! The breakfast was cold cereal, bags of oatmeal, fruit and coffee. No eggs or meat of any kind. Seemed like half of Everything was broken. Beds were super small and uncomfortable.

The hotel was clean and...
Liked: The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Additionally the location was excellent, right next to Colonial Williamsburg. We enjoyed the park like atmosphere with many surrounding trees.
Disliked: The resort looked like a partial ghost town- several empty and unused buildings. It was odd because in order to park you had to drive around all of these areas. Parking felt limited which was unnecessary due to all of the unused space. The facilities- although very clean- needed to be updated. Why not update the main building and tear down what you aren't using to create a more logical entrance/parking area? You could also turn those unused spaces into outdoor parks, playgrounds, etc. which would match the woodlands theme. Lastly the breakfast was lacking in terms of options and appeal. We went to a beach hotel following our Williamsburg stay. We paid less money and had a full breakfast every morning.

Great location, lovely surroundings, easy...
Liked: Wonderful staff, lovely, large room. The Visitors’ Center was across the street. Outside the Center was a free shuttle bus which ran every 15 minutes. Great location, good breakfast, lovely surroundings. We would absolutely stay here again!
Disliked: If you are going for lots of peace and quiet, this is a family and school trip friendly place. Just know that.

Liked: Great location
Disliked: I didn’t know tickets to Colonial Williamsburg were only included in the price of the room if we had booked directly with the hotel.

Convenient location for visiting Colonial...
Liked: The location of the hotel is great. It's practically connected to the visitors center, so it is convenient to the walking trail to Colonial Williamsburg. As the name suggests, it's in a wooded area that was lovely and gave the feeling of being in a remote location, even though we were close to everything. The hotel is clean and there is free breakfast with cold selections. There was plenty of parking on site and the lobby and breakfast area give the feeling of some of the National Park lodges.
Disliked: The rooms feel a little tired. This has nothing to do with the Colonial decor but is that things are a bit worn, and the bedding could use an upgrade to be on par with what is standard in most hotels these days. The room AC was also a bit noisy with a rattle, but we were thankful for it, since the hallway outside our room was very warm. Not sure what was going on and if this was an isolated issue or if that is the case normally.

Good
Liked: I was dissatisfied with the breakfast. No sausage on Saturday and no eggs or sausage available on Sunday. Lots and lots of kids during this stay
