Liked: Michael was very helpful and did his best to rearrange us after Booking com messed up the reservation. Very clean rooms, nice towels and bedding. Very clean.
Disliked: Booking.com mixed up the booking and despite confirming a twin bedded room, requested a double bed when sending through the details to Wild Garlic Rooms. We are two friends and do not share beds. Michael managed to change us to a family room and I had to sleep in a child's room with bunk beds. Michael was very helpful, but the mistake was Booking.com. Not happy with them!

Liked: The bed was very comfortable. The apartment is very close to amenities. Great walk up to the little village of Minchinhampton. Decor is nice/modern with good lighting. Good for one or two nights. Matthew was extremely helpful and responsive whenever we had a problem.
Disliked: The Newmarket apartment needs to have a thorough clean. There were crumbs and grime on the lounge and throw. The dining table was so sticky that even after we wiped it down it still had a sticky residue on it. Not enough room to hang or store clothes especially for a four or five night stay. The shower was difficult to get temperature up - kept going cold and the water pressure terrible.A washing machine would be a great addition - all the other apartments we stayed in UK, Scotland & Ireland had one, especially given the price to stay. Afterall it is advertised as a self contained apartment. We had to report a couple of issues to Matthew and he was very quick to respond. Couldn't fault him. There is evidence of damp, water damage in bathroom all down the wall and on the ceiling. Peeling paint. This apartment could be incredible it just needs some TLC and better cleaners. The cleaner walked into the apartment on our last morning well before check out time and said "oh sorry I thought you had gone". Overall the experience was not a great stay.

This little gem saved our...
Liked: We had booked a special hotel for our 10th anniversary, but I messed up the dates and they had no availability so we had to find somewhere last minute. Being bank holiday weekend, almost everything was booked. On the first night, we managed to get a room in another hotel near where we had originally planned to stay. While we were grateful we had found somewhere, the experience was slightly marred by being very poor value. On the second night, we found this little gem. It was quite different than we had planned, and not in the same village, but we loved it. We had good communication from the owners. On arrival, we found good quality tea and coffee in the room, along with *fresh* milk (not UHT, which I was delighted about), fresh yogurt, apples and oranges, muffins, and some homemade granola, which was delicious. The bed was comfy, everything was spotlessly clean and it was in a lovely, quiet location. The lovely experience we had here more than made up for our disappointment the previous night.

A welcoming, comfortable, attractive place...
Liked: Clean, attractive, well-furnished and comfortable room, in a characterful town in a beautiful part of England - and a rather untypical part of the Cotswolds, too, in a small town of steep hills and watermills. A lovely place to stay, I would happily return. A simple breakfast provided of good quality, healthy, products.

Liked: We had a fantastic stay at Wild Garlic Rooms in Nailsworth. Such a lovely location and the accommodation was perfect. Nice sized room, clean, comfortable, good bathroom and the luxury of a mini fridge. We used the room as a base to explore Cotswold walks, and it was perfect for that. Lovely town with lots of places to eat within walking distance. We will be back.
