Very good

Liked: Friendly staff, large spacious room and bed. Great breakfast. Dog friendly, great parking.
Disliked: The dog friendly room(s) are very close to the wedding function room, so lots of party noise in the garden outside the room window.Maybe a dog friendly room location rethink needed?Or advise of functions and likely noise on the booking site prior to booking?Still had a pleasant stay.

Avoid if you like sleep

Liked: Looked lovely like you could drop the building into Florida and it wouldn't look out of place.
Disliked: Noise in early morning from 6am onwards family room next door, loud kid noises woke us multiple times, no phone in our room and reception was miles away or I would have gone and complained. Kids play i get it but this was loud shouting banging and generally not caring someone sleeping nearby. Went to breakfast shattered and then on check out mentioned how bad a night we had, reception said well night porter never mentioned and he's good!! So we're we lying? As he missed it. Means it didn't happen .? No mention of any recompense in any way, just i will make a note of it. No apology, it was naff response and when you are tired that doesn't help. Breakfast was basic at best. Then as we left the same receptionist chased us out to the car!! Thought we may finally be getting a better response to the crap nights sleep and well no - she came.rushing to us through car park with a piece of paper, and said you didn't pay for your room last night, only £1 taken on credit card ???? That's because we paid in full in cash on arrival.to same woman. When she finally remembered she said oh yes of course and left. Poor customer service and will never booking here again. I would like at least a portion of the only refunded. When you can't sleep and breakfast is basic
