Disliked: We had stayed at the Whitney Peak before and were extremely happy so booked again. This time we were disappointed. Standards seemed to have slipped everywhere. Cleaning, both in the room and the common areas was irregular. Attention to detail seems to be sliding. The hotel decor overall needs a refresh.

Met expectations, perfect for a...
Liked: Non-casino hotel. Refurbed venue in recent years. Very central location. Twin room was just right for sharing with my sister. There's an indoor rock-climbing floor which is pretty neat, not that we used it. I like the farm-to-table dining approach, though the restaurant was closed when we were looking to eat.
Disliked: Basic amenities in the room, though I wouldn't expect too much in Reno. Easy check-in, helpful staff, superb valet.

Liked: Very clean and modern.
Disliked: It appears that the staff doesn?t understand how important it is to rest in a comfortable bed. It appears that the management doesn?t turn their mattresses. You have an awesome location right next to the iconic Reno sign.

Liked: Non smoking, no casino and reasonable cost, accepts pets and if I wasn?t just passing through the climbing and bouldering facilities are almost a destination in themselves.
Disliked: Cappuccino wasn?t great

Liked: I loved how we were able to go all around with our dog. The dog friendly environment was absolutely the best feature of that hotel. It was exceptionally clean. Whether you were in your in your bedroom or in the lobby the only mess you saw was one that you had made. The food in the restaurant was excellent though it would have been nice if it were easier to order room service or to go food.
Disliked: The staff was very nice and cordial but at times I felt that some had their nose in the air a bit. I think that have the theme to a hotel being centered around a climbing rock wall is interesting but not my thing. The parking situation was pain and over priced. It just seemed to be extremely overrated and the maid service whether you put a do not disturb sign on the door or not they knocked regardless. One side of the hanging door sign was do not disturb and the other side asked for service but what I hung on the door knob we were never on the same page. I'd try to order from the restaurant and they would never answer and the call would be sent back to the front desk then the front desk would get snotty with us for trying to call to order food and they'd have to walk to the restaurant to get their attention to answer the phone. All in all it wasn't bad I just thought it was going to be more interesting but it just wasn't my cup of tea. If you're a cross fit, rock climbing, health nut with fat pockets then this is for you. The main reason I stayed here was I thought it would be nice for my son to celebrate this 17th birthday here because we could bring our dog who is family and it wasn't a casino so he could roam the hotel freely and would have more interesting things that appeal to the youth but it was just boring to be honest.
