Relaxing in the spa/pool then...

Liked: Loverly hotel with some great views and close to the Lake District. Beautiful setting and location.
Disliked: Only real draw back was the jacuzzi/hot tub where it was really foamy and the colonie levels must’ve been high as my eyes were irritated for a few hours. Really small issue really, a couple of minor things sorting and this place would be fantastic.My partner has ocd and each time we ate in the restaurant/breakfast she noticed the plates/cups etc weren’t clean (maybe a dishwasher issue) Apart from those 2 minor things the place was fantastic

Pleasant but would not recommend

Liked: The hotel has a nice leisure centre with a pool which we used prior to check out. The leisure centre/spa is a newer addition to the building & is more modern than the hotel building. The breakfast was plentiful.
Disliked: The hotel is probably in need of modernisation, the corridors are quite dark with deep red carpet & dark walls & our bedroom matched that. Although a large room it also needed updating. We had an evening meal in the restaurant & service was very slow taking over an hour to be served our meal but they did only appear to have one waitress for the whole restaurant. I did expect a more ‘upmarket’ experience for a ‘spa hotel’

Disliked: Room i booked was not the room we got..i booked a 4 poster bed..we got a standard one..not happy as it was our wedding anniversary.
