Close to the Metro Center Newcastle Arena Hadrian's Wall and the Northumbrian countryside this hotel in leafy suburban Jesmond is just minutes from the city center. Jesmond and West Jesmond metro stations are within a 10-minute walk of Whites Hotel. Guests can enjoy a selection of meals from around the world in the Blanc Bar and Lounge. Live sporting events are screened on the 7 plasma-screen TVs in the lounge and food can also be served on the heated patio area. A flat-screen satellite TV tea and coffee making facilities and mineral water are provided in each room. Free Wi-Fi is available and free secure parking is available with limited spaces only on a first come first-served basis. Comfortable good location friendly

Liked: Comfy bed clean sheets loads of hot water friendly staff
Disliked: Dreadful hallway and stairs carpet. Decor tired and needs revamping rubbish in carpark

Avoid at all costs. The...

Liked: It was close to the centre/transport links
Disliked: The whole hotel is lopsided. No lift. Continental breakfast is toast and jam, yogurts but no spoons. The rooms are absolutely ABSOLUTELY dreadful (see photos of our bathroom) - not for the weak. Beds painfully uncomfortable. Furniture missing drawers.

Fantastic

Liked: Cosy with a nice, chilled out atmosphere. Great value for money and excellent location. Friendly staff who kindly gave me a surprise bag of breakfast goodies in the morning ☺️Would definitely stay here again and looking forward to my next visit
