Not impressed. Would not spend the money to stay there again.
Liked: The doormen and the bellboy were pleasant and the atmosphere in the hotel for the most part was pleasant and pretty.
Disliked: Could not get into our rooms until 4:30. Check in was at 3pm. It stressed out my daughter because we were needing to get ready and eat and make it to her first concert at 6:00pm, a 15 minute cab ride away. The phone was broken, so I could never talk to the front desk without going downstairs. The faucet on the tub fell off in my hand, so I had to fix it repeatedly and had no time for someone to fix it since we were already running late.

Great location but amenities need...
Liked: The location.
Disliked: The AC did not work and no ice machines. Small fridge and no microwave. Had to rely on staff for ice, which didn’t always bring it to the room.

"Charming Stay with Stunning Views...
Liked: I have to say that my stay at The Whitehall Hotel in Chicago was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location couldn’t have been more perfect—centrally situated and within easy walking distance of all the major attractions, shopping, and dining the city has to offer. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Although our original room was still occupied when we checked in, they quickly resolved the situation by upgrading us to a beautiful corner room. The views from that room were absolutely incredible—definitely a happy surprise that made our stay even more memorable. While the breakfast at the hotel looked delicious and well-presented, we chose to explore local eateries since we were only in Chicago for a short time and wanted to experience as much of the city as possible. Still, it was great knowing that an on-site option was available. The hotel itself had a classic charm, with a cozy yet upscale atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the professionalism of the staff, everything was top-notch. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to the city and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay in Chicago.
Disliked: If I had to mention anything that could be improved, I’d suggest adding a water bottle filling station. After a long day exploring the city, I found myself without water and had to call the front desk to request that water be brought to the room. The staff was happy to help, but having a self-serve option would have been a convenient touch.
