Liked: Good but Wouldham liked a choice of eggs instead of fried eggs every day.

Disliked: Walk in rain to room- steps, gravel surface. Breakfast was cold.

Liked: Location was excellent.Staff very pleasant.
Disliked: We were given a room at the top of the hotel and it was so hot. We booked dinner in the main restaurant for our anniversary.It was a set menu which was limited and basic, eg. Soup, chicken casserole, Chile con carne. Very disappointing.

Disliked: Bathroom needs an update cracked floor tiles.Furniture in room needs some TLC.

Liked: The rooms and location for us were very good. Staff helpful and friendly but hotel practises need looking at.
Disliked: Although this was booked in August 2024, our rooms were allocated only 7 days before and could not have been any further away from the hotel facilities if we had tried. No lift (heritage Building). Rooms at very back of hotel.Raised this issue with reception staff who were nvery pleasant but said hotel policy was only to allocate rooms only 7 days before date of stay. Therefore, late late bookings would and did take preference over my booking 11 monthas in advance. Not acceptable practice. Needs to resolve this issue for all concerned. Also seems to prioritise coach tours over other bookings . Rooms very good

Nice, centrally located hotel

Liked: Excellent breakfast in a wonderful setting, bar area also quite nice. Room was big enough with large bathroom containing walk in shower. Free parking in hotel car park and the hotel centrally located for pubs and restaurants.

Disliked: We stayed in probably the oldest part of the hotel full of character but there are some disadvantages with no lifts and single glazed windows.
