Disliked: The restaurant was fully booked to coach parties both nights we stayed. The hotel knew this when they took our booking.My wife is 79 and we met friends with a view to spending two days IN THE hotel.

Very convenient location and impressive...

Liked: The reception staff on arrival were very helpful. Our room was spacious though being on the upper floor slightly hampered by the sloping roof over one of the beds. We enjoyed being able to eat our breakfast in the Olympic Dining Room which was certainly very impressive. The breakfast offer was excellent and I enjoyed delicious smoked salmon on scrambled eggs. The others in my party also enjoyed their breakfasts.
Disliked: Our rooms were on the second floor which involved climbing two quite steep flights of steps, especially those to the second floor. It may be our own fault for not reading fully through your information but we were not aware of the lack of a lift to the upper foors. Two of our party had some difficulty with this and I suggest it would be very helpful to highlight this when confirming a booking. On arriving for breakfast we found that our table had been mistakenly allocated to some other guests and no table was ready for us. The staff did deal with this but we felt that was not very satisfactory. Unfortunately the coffee was very weak and lacking in flavour.
