Avoid this place until they...

Liked: Classic, independent roadside motel in a great location for exploring White Sands National Park. I loved their no pets, no smoking policy!
Disliked: The smoke alarm went off repeatedly in the morning. We tried to disable it and couldn't. We called the front desk and no one answered. We went to the front desk and no one was there. Later, I finally found a woman who worked there and told her what happened. She smiled and said that the smoke alarm is triggered by steam from the shower. She said there was nothing she could do to refund my money because the manager wasn't there. Apparently, this is a known issue that they haven't addressed.

Liked: It was very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly. Cable tv that was a plus for us!!!

Liked: Exceptionally clean, quiet, and a beautiful view of the mountains. Warm and welcoming staff. Great retro vibe, but the property is still well taken care of. Had a great stay and would recommend to anyone.
Disliked: Room was a little small for 3 people, but it was a minor inconvenience compared to the cleanliness and value.
