White Horse Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a shame we were in the separate annex due, we were told, to us wanting a double, even though we booked some time ago. However it was very comfortable. The lunch and breakfast were very nice indeed and it was a shame we had to leave!

Liked: Very nice atmosphere. Lovely staff. Very comfortable bed!
Disliked: Only one negative - chilly bedroom and difficult to get to the thermostat on radiator so not sure if it was even working.

Superb

Liked: Nice old place with a nice resturant and bar in the village close to Gatwick

Exceptional stay

Liked: This hotel surpassed our expectations. The room was lovely with high quality fittings and thoughtful touches such as oat milk sachets and handmade chocolates and other treats on arrival. Without exception the staff were absolutely lovely.
Disliked: Not the hotel's fault but my husband is disabled and both nights there were cars without blue badges in the disabled parking bays. Parking is limited on the high street so this was a little challenging.

Would have been lovely had...

Liked: Well maintained and appointed. CoComfortable bed, impressive welcome snack and cold bottled water.
Disliked: The bathroom window was painted shut. There was no aircon, with a room the sweltered during a heat wave of 32deg.

Where old meets new, and...

Liked: It was beautiful very not noisy couldn’t tell you was upstairs from a bar and restaurant. The rooms were so pretty. We loved it. I would if given a score of 10 but the rooms had no air conditioning although the fans did help, it was like the hottest day of the year, but apart from yes i would stay again absolutely.
Disliked: LocationQuiteAnd decor was very cute.

So lovely to find a...

Liked: Very friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. Beautiful room full of character. Lovely comfy bed.
Disliked: Car park is small and can’t accommodate all the visitor’s cars. I ended up having to go to the main carpark across the street.

Fantastic place to stay if...

Liked: Very clean, quiet, well decorated, incredibly comfortable
Disliked: Can’t really fault it though room was very hot, stayed on a very hot day. They did have a fan which was on when we arrived. So hotel did try.

A wonderful stay

Liked: The room was wonderful. The little touches in the room made it feel really unique, and they added a little something for my mums birthday which, again, was a lovely addition.
Disliked: The garden outside was quite noisy until 11ish. But that’s is expected when staying in a pub and we were provided with ear plugs!
