Liked: Excellent beds with luxury linen,. Very comfortable room with en-suite bathroom.The food was very good, glad to see they had Fortunes Kippers on the menu.The location is ideal for. All the sites ..the199 steps to the Abby, the Captain Cook MuseumWe had Sunday Lunch, outstanding oysters and Roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding..the potions were very generous Very reasonable too.

Amazing breakfast and if you...

Liked: The property was in a perfect location amazing staff an most of all amazing breakfast.
Disliked: Very cold and worst of all was woken up to a ghost in ate room .my son was also woken up screaming for the ghost to go away .I stayed up the rest of the night with the lights on shaking waiting for morning so I could go home .

Liked: Love the location and downstairs ambiance
Disliked: This is the second time we have stayed and it will be the last. We stayed on the top floor first time and although alittle grubby we thought it OK but didn't like all the stairs. Booked a different room (resolution) and honestly the standards are way below acceptable. Headboard completely covered in dirt/dust, all light fittings and lamps making buzzing noises and filthy, floor dirty, bathroom was terrible the flush was broken, toilet seat was terrible, the sink and bath was filthy and the shower head was leaking from the back and spraying in all directions, there was also a very loud whiring sound on and off constantly which started around 6.45am and continued until gone 11.00pm, the tv had no signal, the kettle had limescale not just on the inside but on the outside, paint work was very tired and needed a complete once over, heating didn't come on until 7.00am so if your an early riser the room is very cold, surfaces dirty I could continue on.... how does booking.com rate this 8.1?????
