Excellent stay, high quality facilities...

Liked: We stayed in studios located next to each other. I appreciated that two rooms was the same price as the two bedroom apartment. It meant that my sister and I could be close to each other without having to share an apartment. I really appreciate it when regionally based motels apply standards you might typically expect in a central city hotel. This was the case with the White Heron which provided exceptional receptionist services, polished and warm, through to top quality furnishings in the rooms along with cleanliness. I know Gisborne accommodation well because I have been travelling back and forth for years. The recent work done on these rooms is a cut above and real value for money. This will be our go to accommodation from here on.
Disliked: The studio I stayed in was close to the two bedroom apartment so that family noise travelled. Overall though, it wasn't a problem.
