Liked: The location of this venue is exceptional and we had a River view room which I would recommend if staying, otherwise you miss all the boats at the front. We had the queen suite which was spacious, clean and had all the facilities we needed even though we were only staying one night.

Liked: Exceptional service from every staff member. All friendly, professional and willing. Room exceeded expectations. Carvery and dessert very good. Breakfast service was excellent and a very good meal.

We love it all and...

Liked: Location excellent. We love looking at Oulton Broad with the boats and swans. They even had a black swan. The blossom was out on the trees making the scene magical.I was thrilled that we could have an early check in for a nominal fee as we had travelled a long way. It allowed us to have a rest before enjoying our afternoon. We parked right by the hotel entrance and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Unfortunately we were unable to lock the balcony door, which we have reported. We will be asking specifically for the same lovely spacious room next time we visit so it needs to be fixed.I applaud the hotel for cleaning the windows of the bedrooms but perhaps leave it until check out time so guests are not surprised suddenly by a man looking in and waving at you from the balcony.

Stay at the Wherry Hotel.

Liked: The suite was nice, with great views, and it was lovely to have a private balcony.
Disliked: There was no fridge in the room and no water to make tea or coffee. Although there was tea and coffee in the room and a kettle.You had to buy water from the bar. I would have thought that the hotel would provide at least one bottle of water.There also wasn't an iron in the room.In the bathroom, the shower gels were attached to the wall, making it different to put in the bath if you wanted one. It was fine if you just wanted a shower.
