Dissapointing and will not stay...

Liked: The staff were excellent
Disliked: The whole property & especially the rooms are very tired inside and out. We requested a move from Room 12 as the loo seat was loose, no loo paper holder, the fan in the room didn’t oscillate. So we moved to Room 8, marginally better but could do with a major refurb. This pub use to be packed on a Friday & Saturday but this warm weekend, lots of spaces in the car park & virtually empty in the bar/restaurant.

Very happy with the stay,...

Liked: room was very comfortable and well equipped, with extra touches like the coffee bags.
Disliked: water from basin tap squirted forward a little, so we got a bit wet the first time we used it.

We have stayed here multiple...

Liked: The pub food was brilliant - waitress was amazing, however the bar staff was rude!
Disliked: The room was dirty, rubbish behind the sofa bed and under the main bed which was all visible without ‘looking’ for it!! Bath and toilet was dirty on arrival!! The temperature through the whole building was ridiculously hot, so much so that an OAP attending a meal in the pub/restaurant passed out - again the waitress was brilliant but the bar staff offered no help then complained that we took the fan from the bar to assist cooling the gentleman down!!

Good value for money.

Liked: Close proximity to Winchester. Rooms are good size.
Disliked: The dinner menu on both nights was the same. Specials menu was looked nice & would’ve liked to sample it but on Friday & Saturday evenings most of the choices were gone. That was disappointing. Also not much choice for a vegetarian. Some wines from wine menu were also unavailable both nights
