Liked: A charming hotel with a beautiful garden. The rooms are spacious and the staff were very friendly. It is well located, just a few minutes walk from York’s main attractions, and offers parking. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended.

Liked: Room 11 was spacious and clean. Quite as at the top of the hotel. A 20 minute walk to the center of York and only 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Great value for money. Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Shower water very slow. Room did not smell very nice on arrival but after opening the windows soon disappeared. Room 11 was three flights up with no lift so could have been a problem if we were less mobile. Staff helped with one suitcase.

Lovely weekend getaway

Liked: The cooked breakfast with options for dietary requirements (I'm dairy free and don't eat meat and they were able to cater to me).Love the architecture of the building, the garden and the location, very close to the station and bus stops
Disliked: Reception staff was a bit cold, I told them before that it was my birthday and wish they had said something.The room had cobwebs and the decor was outdated.The pillows were very hard and difficult to sleep on
